These accidental houses are essentially what would now be called Whole Sign houses. One could have a theory about Morin’s idea of accidental houses that concerns the analogy between the circle of houses and circle off signs–based in part on Morin’s theory of the formation of the signs and houses set out in the first sections of Book 14 (signs) and Book 17 (houses).

A book that does a fine job of teaching use of Morin’s method. The first part of the book is on horary (though Morin, erroneously rejected horary). In the second part he teaches natal astrology, with particular attention to making accurate predictions using the natal, of course, and directions, solar and lunar revolutions, direction of the revolutions, and transits. The book is a somewhat revised version of his previously published two-volume Mysteries of Medieval Astrology. Penelope Sitter did write write the foreword to the revised edition. –
